Game 1
Medicine Hat 2 at Okotoks 3 (10 innings)

Okotoks got the best of Medicine Hat in the first game of the twin bill as they beat the Mavericks 3-2 in 10 innings. In the bottom tenth of Bellevue University product J.T. Patterson doubled to centre to score Ryan Humeniuk for the win.

Dustin Schorie came out of the Dawgs bullpen in the top of the 10th and picked up the victory.
Barry Caine suffered the loss after pitching 2.2 innings.

Game 2
Medicine Hat 2 at Okotoks 10
The Dawgs used a six run third inning to get past the Mavericks 10-2. After the two-game sweep of the Western Division leaders, Okotoks improved their record to 33-12 while Medicine Hat dropped to 36-9.

Okotoks outfielder Brandon Sparks had two hits and three RBI in the win.
David Salqueiro, the Miami, Florida product, chipped in with a hit and stole two bases for the Mavericks.

Carter Robinson picked up the win, his third in a row and fifth of 2018. Jaymon Cervantes was tapped for eight un over three innings and took the Medicine Hat loss.

David Salqueiro now has 28 stolen bases on the season. 
Reliever Matt Brooks blanked Okotoks in the 8th

Melville 4 at Weyburn 8
The Weyburn Beaver extended their winning streak to five games by doubling up the Melville Millionaires 8-4. The Eastern Division leading Beavers now have 36 wins on the season. The loss was the fifth in a row for the Money Men.

Centre fielder Corey Wheaton had four hits and a run scored in the Weyburn win. The speedy Wheaton also stole three bases, giving him 29 in the 2018 WMBL campaign.

Ryan Tackett was the Millionaires top bat in the lineup going three for four with two runs. His home run in the sixth inning was his fifth of the year.

Edmonton 2 at Lethbridge 0
Once again pitcher Rich Walker was outstanding on the mound for Edmonton as the Prospects beat the Lethbridge Bulls 2-0. The sophomore from Mesa Community College threw a complete game three hit shutout for his fifth win of the season. Walker allowed only one walk while striking out eight. The right hander from Cove, Creek, AZ now has three complete game shutouts including a perfect game in 2018.

Liam Sabiston got saddled with the Bulls loss even though he allowed just one run on six hits.

Michael Gahan - 2 hits including a triple and a run scored
Walker tossed 93 pitches, 69 for strikes

Kaleb Warden - hitting .376 this season had a double 
Sabiston threw 103 pitches - 69 for strikes


Yorkton 5 at Swift Current 11
Swift Current overcame a five-run deficit to knockoff the Cardinals 11-5. With the 57s win and Regina loss, Swift Current will finish second in the Eastern Division and get home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

773 fans at Mitchell Field watched as Yorkton grabbed an early lead on Colin Kellington’s grand slam. Eight hits and 11 runs later Swift Current had their 27th win of the season.
Tarlton State’s Ruben Rodriquez had three hits and three RBI for the 57s.

Brock Gilliam earned the win while Logan MacDougall took the Yorkton loss.

Brooks 1 at Fort McMurray 5
The Fort McMurray Giants made the 1,184 fans at Shell Place happy with a 5-1 victory over the Brooks Bombers.

Bryce O’Farrell led Brooks with two hits and a run scored. Giants catcher Adam North produced two hits and two runs in the Fort McMurray win.

Matt Ottsen earned his first win of the season with a six inning, one run performance.

Reliever Nate McKendrick allowed 1 run in three scoreless innings.

Moose Jaw 12 at Regina 11
A wild one at Currie Field as Moose Jaw and Regina combined for 35 hits in the Miller Express’ 12-11 win over the Red Sox.
With the score 8-2 for Moose Jaw, Regina scored nine runs to take 11- 8 lead. Moose Jaw rallied for four runs in the final two innings for the victory.

Markus Gregson was four for six with a RBI and run scored for Moose Jaw. Sammy De La Cruz contributed three hits and scored three runs for the Sox.
