Regina 5 at Swift Current 4
The Regina Red Sox needed three runs in the sixth to overcome a 4-2 deficit and defeat Swift Current 5-4.
Dylan Bells started on the hill for the Red Sox and earned the win. The freshman from Frank Phillips allowed four runs on nine hits over five innings. He also struck out three of the 25 Swift Current batters he faced. Sam Cottingham-Beard threw three scoreless innings to pick up his first save of the year. 57s reliever Joey Machado took the loss.
Bryan Benz has another great day at the plate for the 57s. The Arlington, TX native had four hits including a triple and a home run. Offensively for Regina, David Modler had a pair of hits and scored a run.

Brett Mercier led the Bulls batters with two hits, two walks, four RBI and two runs scored. One of Mercier’s hits was a grand slam. Lachlan Mayo had three walks and four RBI for the visitors.
Liam Vulcano picked up the Bulls win. Jordan Johnson was the losing pitcher for Brooks.

Yorkton 7 at Weyburn 8
Corey Wheaton led the Beaver attack with three hits including two doubles. As well, Keaton Greenwalt had two hits, scored two runs and had two RBI for Weyburn.
Clyde Yeh, a sophomore at Barry University, made an impact in his WMBL debut with three hits and an RBI for the Cardinals.
Dalton Ross came out of the bullpen to get the win with Shandon Herrera earning the save. Andrew Cisneros took the loss for Yorkton.

Edmonton 1 at Okotoks 12
Dawgs starter Cody Ebert was brilliant on the mound giving up four hits and one run in seven innings of work. He also struck out five while picking up his first win of 2018. Rich Walker, Edmonton’s starter, took the loss after lasting just 4.1 innings.
William Hollis had three hits and scored three runs for the Dawgs. Tony Olson has a hit and run for the Prospects.

Mason Garispe had a stellar outing for the Miller Express tossing six shutout innings. He only gave up four hits while striking out 11.
Offensively each team had six hits and a home run. Melville’s homer run came off the bat of Justin Braziel while Blake Gallagher supplied Moose Jaw’s round tripper.
