Spitz Stadium Update

The Lethbridge Bulls are enhancing their fans experience with a few innovative renovations at Spitz Stadium.

According to Lethbridge Bulls president and general manager, Kevin Kvame, the renovations will include new washrooms, a new concession stand and elevator access to the grandstand’s top level.

As well, new announcer and press booths, and designated upper-level seating for mobility-limited ball fans.

The media centre is also being expanded, which will provide more room for the Bulls off-field game officials and the visiting team’s broadcast crews.

“The new upper-level concourse and elevator will improve our fans overall stadium experience,” said Kvame. “We now have an outstanding view of Henderson Lake.”

Spitz Stadium, the premiere baseball facility in Lethbridge, is home to more than 250 games per year. Constructed in 1975, the ballpark seats more than 2,000 fans.
Kvame feels that having first-class stadiums to play in not only helps to promote the WMBL, but also assists the teams in the recruitment of quality baseball players.

The 2018 WMBL regular season begins on May 31 and has the Bulls play their first six games on the road. Fans will get their opportunity to experience the new-look Spitz Stadium when the Bulls host the Okotoks Dawgs June 8.
