July 4th WMBL Game Recaps07/04/2018 11:23 PM - Swift Current 0 at Regina 9 Regina pitcher Kyle Wilson tossed a complete game shutout as the Red Sox beat Swift Current 9-0 at Currie Field. Wilson, a junior from Arkansas Tech, allowed just one hit and two walks in his near perfect performance. He also struck out seven of the 30 Swift Current batters he faced. With the win Wilson improved his 2018 record to 3-1 with a 1.87 ERA.
Jack Ferguson started for Swift Current and had a rough outing. The left-hander from Madonna University was tagged for seven earned runs on 10 hits and two walks in just 3.2 innings of work.
Offensively, Red Sox third baseman Erik Crossman had three hits and a RBI in the win. Outfielder Riley Hickerson also contributed two hits, 2RBI and a run scored for the home squad.
Blake Adams got the lone Swift Current hit, which came in the first inning. He also stole a base to run his season total to seven.
Regina is firmly nestled in second place in the Eastern Conference with a 18-7 record while Swift Current is in 4thwith a 14-14 record.

Edmonton 0 at Lethbridge 9 The Lethbridge Bulls had 12 hits in their 9-0 win over Edmonton. It was shutout by committee for the Bulls pitching staff as six different pitchers had a hand in the Lethbridge victory. Reliever Seth Spangler got credit for the win.
Prospects starter Edgar Barclay threw five shutout innings before handing the ball off to Drew Scott. The Yale University product took the loss as he gave up four earned runs on nine hits.
Dylan Borman had two hits including a double and a run. The Camrose born Borman also had two RBI as the Bulls improved to 10-16 on the season.
Anthony Cusati reached base three times for Edmonton. He registered two hits and a walk in the game.
The Bulls and Prospect will do it all again tomorrow at Spitz Stadium.

Okotoks 6 at Ft. McMurray 5 (11 innings) Another entertaining ball game at Shell Place. The Okotoks Dawgs were down 5-1 heading to the top of the ninth inning. Cue the comeback as the Dawgs took a bite out of the lead by scoring four runs in their final at bat. Riley Baasch helped the prceeding as he slammed a two run homer to send the game to extra innings.
JT Patterson finished the Okotoks comeback in the 11thinning as he singled home Richard Mascarenas for the winnings run. The Fort McMurray Giants were sparked by Liam Rihela who smacked four hits and scored a run.
After Dawgs starter Carter Robinson left the game midway through the seventh, the Okotoks bullpen did not allow a run and only gave up two hits.
