07/15/2013 11:26 PM -

The Okotoks Dawgs faced off against the Medicine Hat Mavericks for the third straight game and lost by a final 7-3. After two extra inning wins on Saturday and Sunday at Seaman Stadium the Mavericks took one back at their own park.

The offense was over matched most of the night with only two players getting more then one hit in the game. David Head (Northeastern Junior College) went two for four and Cade Gotta (San Diego Christian College) went two for three with two RBIs.

Hayden Cleveland (Franklin College) got the start looking for his league leading sixth win of the season but didn’t get much help from the offense. He pitched six innings giving up five runs but only 2 of those were earned. Ben Manley (Butte College) pitched two innings giving up 2 runs but neither of them earned. The Dawgs had a total of six errors.

The Dawgs have tomorrow off before coming back to Medicine Hat on Wednesday for another battle between the two best teams in the WMBL.
