Medicine Hat 8 at Melville 5
The Medicine Hat Mavericks rallied from an 8-5 deficit to beat the Melville Millionaires 13-9.  The Mavericks had 15 hits and six errors on the night while the Mils had 11 hits and two errors. With the win, Medicine Hat is now 16-3 while Melville dropped to 6-13.

Julien Ly led the offensive charge for the Mavericks with four hits and two runs scored. Michale Conn, the freshman from Jackson State had a homer and three RBI.

Keaton Sullivan hit a homerun and had five RBI on the night for Melville. Queen Creek Arizona native Kole Kaler added two hits, three runs and a stolen base.

After throwing 2.2 innings, Junior Pimentel picked up his first win for Medicine Hat. Melville’s Taylor Roberge was tagged with the loss.

Lethbridge 8 at Okotoks 6
Lethbridge used a four run eighth inning to power past Okotoks 8-6 at Seaman Stadium.

Dylan Borman was the Bulls human highlight reel as the Camrose, AB native hit two home runs and had six RBI.  Kaleb Warden also had three hits and two runs in the Lethbridge victory. William Hollis had three hits for the Dawgs.

Kole Penner earned his first win of the season while Talon Derrick had the save. Jordan Pepper was given the loss.

The 8-12 Bulls are now and Okotoks dropped to 13-6 in 2018. Both ball clubs sport a 6-4 record in their last 10 games.

Regina 11 at Swift Current 3
The Regina Red Sox scored early and often to beat the defending WMBL champions Swift Current 57s 11-3 at Mitchell Field. The Sox also out hit the 57s 20-10 in the contest.

Regina starter Edgar Cuevas pitched four innings for the win. He allowed three runs on five hits and two walks. The junior from Southeastern also struck out five. The Red Sox roughed up Swift
Current starter Tommy Steier for seven runs on 12 hits. 

As well, both pitching staffs struck out 13 batters each.

Red Sox outfielder Wesley Moss continues to harass WMBL pitching as he went four for six with three runs scored and a stolen base. He has now hit safely in 13 consecutive games.

Regina’s Matt DeNeau and Swift Current’s Myles Miller each hit their first home run of the season in the game. A

After tonight’s action, the Red Sox are now 13-6 while Swift Current sits at 10-11.

Weyburn 6 at Moose Jaw 3
Weyburn continues to roll as they won their fifth game in a row by defeating Moose Jaw 6-3.

With Moose Jaw leading 3-2 in the top of the eighth inning, Corey Harrell took Moose Jaw reliever Matt Perry yard as he hit a grand slam to put the Beavers up 6-3.
Dalton Ross made his tenth appearance of the season and pitched two scoreless innings for his third win. Eric Evans came on in the ninth for the save, his fourth of 2018.

Matt Perry took the loss for the Miller Express.

Weyburn pitchers threw 12 strikeouts
Eric Morales had 2 hits, a run and a RBI


Ft. McMurray 5 at Brooks 19
The Brooks Bombers exploded for 19 hits in their 19- 5 win over Fort McMurray. Giants leadoff hitter John Loschiavo opened the scoring in the first inning with a home run to give the Fort McMurray an early 1-0 lead but it was all Bombers after that.

The Bombers were led by Riley Macdonald who hammered three home runs, a double and six RBI. Damien Rodriguez also added two homers and four RBI in the win.

The win ended Brooks seven game losing streak and improved their record to 5-13. The loss dropped the Giants to 5-16 and extended their losing streak to 10 games.
