Melville 0 at Regina 6
The Regina Red Sox defeated the Melville Millionaires 6-0 in front of 980 fans at Currie Field.
Regina starter Evan Rogers was the story in this southern Saskatchewan baseball matchup. The senior from Texas A&M at Texarkana was brilliant as he pitched a complete game shutout. Rogers threw 105 pitches and allowed just five hits and three walks while striking out five.
Brooks Stotler’s two-run homer in the first inning proved to be the winning runs. Wesley Moss also had a good outing at the plate. Moss provided the Red Sox offence with two hits, a walk, a stolen base and a run scored.
Isaiah McDonald was the top offensive producer for Melville. The UBC product reached base three times with a hit and two walks.
Regina improved to 5-5 and are on a two-game winning streak. The Millionaires, 3-9 started the season on a winning note but have now lost eight straight.

Weyburn starter Ryan Johnson held the Moose Jaw batters at bay with 10 strikeouts over five innings. Ken Williams came on in relief and picked up the win, his second of the season.
Catcher Cory Ewald provided an offensive spark for Weyburn with a homer and three RBI. For Moose Jaw Blake Gallagher reached base twice on a pair of walks. He also had a stolen base.

Spencer Koelewyn earned the Swift Current win by pitching three scoreless innings. David Craft was tagged with the loss for the Giants.
John Loschiavo had three hits and two stolen bases in a losing cause. 57s leadoff hitter Ethan Hunter had two hits and two runs scored.

Lethbridge 3 at Edmonton 6
The bullpens were fantastic and put on a pitching clinic. Edmonton’s Josh Sieglitz pitched 3.1 scoreless in relief of starter Rich Walker, to earn the save. Kale Penner was perfect over the final four innings for Lethbridge.
Zane Takhar led the Prospect batters with two hits, two runs scored and 2 RBI. Bulls outfielder Hank Forrest countered with three hits.
