On Tuesday night, the Regina Red Sox looked to snap their three game losing streak as they welcomed the Swift Current Indians to Currie Field.
No offense came until the fourth frame. Matt Henriksen and Jake Gonzalez scored for the visitors in the top half of the inning, while Austin Drummonds cashed in a run of his own in the bottom half of the inning. Gonzalez scored again in the top of the sixth, which gave the Tribe a 3-1 lead.
The Red Sox, notorious for their late game comebacks, came up short in the final stages of the game and dropped their fourth in a row with the final score, 3-1.
Despite the loss, A. Drummonds starred for the home team with two hits and two walks in addition to his scored run.
Red Sox pitcher Ryne Drummonds lost his second game of the season. R. Drummonds pitched six innings, struck out three, and allowed eight hits.
For the Indians, pitcher Chris Haddeland picked up the win and Cody Chartrand was credited with the save.
The next Red Sox home game is Thursday, June 27, 2013 against the Weyburn Beavers. The opening pitch will be at 7:05 p.m.
