Moose Jaw Miller Express end Okotoks Dawgs win streak
The Okotoks Dawgs (12-4) faced the Moose Jaw Miller Express (8-12) in the final of a two game series with a four game win streak on the line. They were able to get two runs in the third inning but other then that the bats were quiet all night. The Dawgs ended up losing by a final of 11-2.
At the plate Jerod Bartnik (University of British Columbia) went 1-3 but had the big hit of the night smashing a home run over the right field fence to score both runs.
Jamie Wilson (Auckland University) got the start and pitched 4+ innings giving up five runs. The bullpen came in from there and had an off night giving up six runs.
The Okotoks Dawgs will be back in action tomorrow night against the Edmonton Prospects. It is going to be a special night with the Dawgs using the game to support everyone that has been affected by the floods in the Foothills area. All tickets are $5 a piece (regularly $12.50) with 40% of that going to local emergency services and flood victim relief agencies. Game time is 7:05pm at Seaman Stadium.
