Bulls Take Game 1 of Finals 19-3

The Bulls crushed the Regina Red Sox 19-3 on Thursday night at Spitz Stadium to take a 1-0 lead in the finals. Dylan Dyson had a career night going 5-6 with 9 RBI on the evening capped by a grand slam in the 7th inning. Dyson also had 2 doubles on the night.  In total the Bulls pounded out 19 hits with 6 starters recording multi hit games. Clark Grisbrook pitched 8 solid innings earning his second win for the Bulls in the 2015 Playoffs. Clark had 6 strikeouts over those 8 innings.

 

After an emotional 5-4 win in game 5 of their series with Weyburn the Red Sox traveled all day for game 1 and came out flat. Starter Tyler Vavra went 2.2 innings surrendering 4 hits and 3 runs. Regina used 3 more relievers to finish out the contest.

 

The two teams will square off in game 2 of the championship series Friday night at Spitz Stadium. Due to scheduling conflicts game 3 and possibly game 4 have been moved to Sunday in Regina. The teams will play a double header if necessary.
