Seaman Stadium will host 3rd Blue Jay's Honda Super Camp

Seaman Stadium to host annual Blue Jays Honda Super Camps for third consecutive year

 

Okotoks, AB. - In addition to the Okotoks Dawgs and the Dawgs Academy; Seaman Stadium in Okotoks, AB. will host a Toronto Blue Jays Honda Super Camp for the third consecutive year in 2015. The camps target amateur baseball players ages 9-16 and will be run in partnership with both Baseball Canada and Little League Baseball Canada.

 

The three-day event will take place Tuesday, July 7 to Thursday, July 9, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. daily at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks. Instructors include Baseball Hall of Famer, Roberto Alomar, and a large number of Blue Jays alumni including: Duane Ward, Devon White, George Bell, Lloyd Moseby, Jesse Barfield and Homer Bush

 

Honda Super Camps, which are staged in 15 cities nationwide in July and August, are instructional baseball camps for players 9-16, led by former Toronto Blue Jays players. Run in partnership with Baseball Canada and Little League Baseball Canada, the aim is to give young players a one of a kind experience learning skills and techniques from former Major League all-stars.

 

Last season's Blue Jays Honda Super Camp was another huge success, bringing in 140 participants.

 

Registration for the three-day camp is now open and is $245.00 per participant. Space is limited.

Seaman Stadium is home of the Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Club, including the Dawgs summer collegiate team, North America's fourth highest attended summer collegiate team in 2014; as well as, the Dawgs Academy, comprised of 6 youth teams from ages 12 to 18.
