Dawgs fall short in playoff opener against Bulls

Lethbridge AB... Dawgs fall short in the playoff opener in by a score of 5-1 at Spitz Stadium.

Tyrell King (Paradise Valley Community College) pitched 6.1 innings allowing seven hits and four earned runs while striking out three in the loss. Travis McDonald (University of Arkansas-Little Rock) closed out the inning allowing only one hit, one walk and striking out two. Jon Richards (Sonoma State) took over on the mound from there with a strong outing allowing one hit and one strike out.

Centre Fielder Jordan Peterson (Chandler Gilbert Community College)  went one for three, batting in the lone run for the Dawgs. Both Designated hitter Zach Johnson (Porterville College) and Shortstop Ellis Kelly (Lamar Community College) were impressive at plate batting .500 on the night.

The Dawgs return to Lethbridge tomorrow for game two of the series. First pitch at 7:05 and the game will once again be covered by Shaw TV.
