WMBL announces the Batting Champion and Pitcher of the Year

Two award winners confirmed and added to the 2014 Award Winners list

Western Major Baseball League President, Kevin Kvame announced tonight that the final two award winners for the 2014 WMBL regular season have been confirmed.  Theses awards are based on MLB criteria for Pitching ERA and Batting Average.

The award winners are as follows:

Batting Champion – Aidan Stinnett – Moose Jaw Miller Express : Batting Average of .393  in 197 plate appearances.  (Requirement is 3.0 plate appearances per team game (46 in the case of the WMBL for the season).

Pitcher of the Year (ERA leader) – Scott Cone – Lethbridge Bulls – ERA on season of 2.09 in 56 innings pitched.  (Requirement is 1.0 inning pitched per team game (46 in the case of the WMBL for the season).

These two players will join the official list of 2014 Award Winners list.
