Okotoks' team effort records a win over Swift Current

Swift Current, Sask... Conor Lillis-White (University of British Coloumbia) carries the Okotoks Dawgs (20-21) past the struggling Swift Current Indians (23-18).

Lillis-White was dominant tonight allowing one earned run, and scattering six hits, while striking out four Indians over seven innings of work. The bullpen took over from there with Shaun Meyer (Georgetown College), and Chris Sievers (Northeastern Junior College) combining to throw 2 of scoreless innings of ball to close out the game.

The Dawgs offense came to life tonight, with eight of the nine hitters recording at least one hit. The offensive surge was lead by Zachiary Johnson (Porterville College) and Jordan Perterson (Chandler Gilbert Community College), who both went 2-4 with a double and a RBI each.

The Dawgs look to continue the wining ways when they return home for a three-game homestand starting Friday night. The Dawgs start off the homestand with two games against the Yorkton Cardinals, both Friday and Saturday nights games start at 7:05pm The short homestand concludes on Sunday at 2:05pm, when the Edmonotn Prospects and the Dawgs face off for the last time this season.
