Canada Day celebrations light up the sky in Lethbridge

Canada Day was a warm and sunny afternoon in Lethbridge, as the Lethbridge Bulls prepared to face the Moose Jaw Miller Express for a double header, with games at 2:05pm and 7:35pm. The Bulls won the first game 10-3 to kick off our Canada Day celebrations. 

July 1 evening was full of excitement as the Bulls took on the Moose Jaw Miller Express for the second game of the Canada Day double header. The Bulls beat the Miller Express 9-1. The atmosphere was lively and the crowd was very enthusiastic as the Bulls scored run after run to win a great game. 

The starting pitcher of the evening was #1 Scott Cone from Glenwood, Australia followed by #20 Jake Hansen from Fort Macleod, Alberta in the top of the ninth inning. There were many great plays yesterday evening including a double for #32 Dylan Dyson scoring a run, a double by #11 Cody Stewart scoring another run and a double for #15 Bretton Gouthro scoring another two runs. After the game, the crowds of fans in attendance brought blankets onto the outfield to enjoy the fireworks and finish off the Canada Day celebrations at the ballpark. 

As of the writing of this article the Bulls now have a 15-8 record and are in first place in the divison. The Bulls will now rest up and be back at Spitz Stadium this Thursday, July 3rd at 7:05pm to face the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Hope to see you at the ballpark!
