On a rainy night in Lethbridge, the Okotoks Dawgs (2-2) fell to the Bulls (2-2) by a final score of 5-4. The Dawgs took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning, but then saw the Bulls score two runs in the fifth and two in the sixth. They tried to come back late with one run in the eighth and then had the bases loaded and one out in the ninth, but were only able to get one run across.
Jordan Procyshen (Northern Kentucky University) continued to lead the offense with two hits in three at-bats, collecting a double and two runs scored. Cade Gotta (San Diego Christian College) went 3-for-4 with a run scored.
Chris Villalobos (Georgetown College) threw 4 2/3 innings striking out three, scattering four hits and giving up two runs but neither were earned. Dominic Porretta (Otterbein University) and Ryan Serrato (Georgetown College) threw well out of the bullpen especially with the rainy conditions.
The two teams will face off tomorrow at 7:05pm, at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks for game five of the first round series. The winner will move on to face the Medicine Hat Mavericks in the second round, which will start in Medicine Hat on Tuesday.
